About Us
When I was a young girl my mother taught my two sisters and I how to sew. Right from the start I loved working with beautiful fabric, so when my mom took up quilting after the three of us were grown, my sisters and I followed her example.I opened Sew Simple Quilt Shoppe on 2002. I wasn’t an expert quilter by any means, and I’d only made five quilt tops at that time, but I knew I loved doing it, so I took a leap of faith. Even now it’s almost like Christmas when we get a shipment of fabric in. I can’t wait to get the box opened and see what’s inside. We carry some of my favorite types of fabric including traditional, oriental, civil war, 30’s prints and batiks.
One thing that makes our store unique is that we have sewing groups every day of the week. It’s so fun to get together, talk and work on our projects. The atmosphere in our store is supportive and helpful. Even people who visit from out of town notice it and say they wish they lived closer. My main goal is to make our customers feel appreciated and know that we are willing to help them with any sewing or quilting project whether they bought the materials here or not.
I love my job and my customers.
